Rene Kokk

Rene Kokk (born March 4, 1980 ) is an Estonian politician . He has been Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Estonia since April 2019 .

Life

After graduating from school and training in agriculture, Kokk started working for various Estonian construction, forestry and investment companies in 1999. In 2007 he graduated from the Estonian University of Environmental Sciences .

politics

Rene Kokk joined the Eesti Konservatiivne Rahvaerakond (EKRE) in 2015 . There he took over the party leadership for the Harju and Rapla area.

After the parliamentary elections in 2019 , EKRE became part of the new coalition government under Jüri Ratas , which was sworn in on April 29, 2019. In the Cabinet Ratas II Kokk took over the post of the Estonian environment minister.

Private

Kokk is in a committed relationship and is a father of two. In addition to Estonian, he also speaks German and Russian.
