Renouveau Valdôtain

Renouveau Valdôtain was an Italian regional party that was active in the Aosta Valley region at the beginning of the 21st century as part of the political autonomy movement.

history

The Renouveau Valdôtain movement came into being in 2006 when some people left the Union Valdôtaine UV party. It was headed by the former president of the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley and in 2006 elected Senator Carlo Perrin , who no longer ran for the UV, but successfully ran for the political organization Autonomie Liberté Démocratie . Perrin, along with other former UV members, including the former President of the Union Valdôtaine Alexis Bétemps and several local presidents , called for the establishment of the new party. The aim of the new group was to give more weight to the goals that were striven for in the beginning of the autonomy movement in the Aosta Valley shortly after the Second World War.

On July 15, 2006, the founders of the movement met for the first meeting in Fénis , and on December 16, 2006, the party was formally constituted at a meeting in Nus . First Lorella Vezza and later Albert Chatrian were appointed as coordinators of the party. In 2007 and 2008, the preparation of the 2008 national elections and the regional elections in the Aosta Valley was the most important business for the party leadership. In 2008 Renouveau Valdôtain decided to enter into an alliance with the Vallée d'Aoste Vive citizens' movement in view of the regional elections .

In national elections ported Renouveau Valdôtain the historian Roberto Nicco , who with the support of autonomy Liberté Démocratie in the Chamber of Deputies was elected in Italy.

On the joint list of Renouveau Valdôtain and Vallée d'Aoste Vive , five candidates were elected to the Conseil de la Vallée d'Aoste regional council in the regional elections on May 25, 2008 .

In the spring of 2010, the Autonomie Liberté Démocratie movement was officially constituted as a political party, and the short-lived Renouveau Valdôtain party was absorbed into this new organization. The new political coalition Autonomie Liberté Démocratie, which represents a center-left position , changed its name in 2011 to Autonomie Liberté Participation Écologie ALPE.
