Pension Fund of the Russian Federation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation ( Russian: Пенсионный фонд Российской Федерации ) is the name of the institution of the statutory pension insurance in Russia and thus the counterpart to the German pension insurance in the Federal Republic of Germany. Since Russian pension benefits are also transferred to Russian citizens living abroad if they have a corresponding entitlement, there are also numerous people in Central Europe who receive benefits from the Russian Pension Fund, e. B. Relatives of ethnic repatriates .

Until the end of 2018, the standard Russian retirement age was 55 years for women and 60 years for men (it could be lower in certain occupations). The pension reform began in 2019, which will gradually (by 2028) require the retirement age to be raised to 60 (women) and 65 (men) years. The pensions paid by the Russian Pension Fund are incomparably lower than in Western Europe, e.g. B. in 2008 the average pension was around 130 euros. As the reform progresses, pensions will have to increase.
