The Rescuerunner is a lifeboat specially developed by the Swedish Sjöräddningssällskapet (SSRS) , which is based on the technology of a jet ski ('water motorcycle'). It is characterized by a soft and resistant plastic hull, so that the boat can safely approach swimming people. To accommodate rescued persons or as a transport area for equipment, it has a separate area of 1.5 m² in the rear area. People can hold onto this area using four holding brackets. In contrast to normal sports boats, the Rescuerunner has a position light . A large rescue boat from the SSRS and a boat class from the Norwegian NSSR now have a Rescuerunner as a daughter boat .
