Sjöräddningssällskapet or Svenska Sällskapet för Räddning af Skeppsbrutne (SSRS) ( German  Swedish Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People ) is the voluntary sea rescue service in Sweden . The company was founded in Stockholm in 1907 .

SSRS works along the Swedish coast, on the Baltic Sea as well as in the Kattegat and Skagerrak . Like the German DGzRS, the society is financed exclusively from membership fees and donations. It maintains 65 stations (Sjöräddningsstationer) and provides 140 vehicles with a total of 1500 volunteers as a crew. 300 of these volunteers are ready to go within 15 minutes.
