Code of Conduct

The more than 130 member organizations from all areas of the industry have committed to complying with a code of conduct with strict ethical and qualitative standards. These include the following points:

  • RDO members must grant their customers a withdrawal period of at least 15 days after the conclusion of contracts , even if national legislation provides for a lesser or no right of withdrawal.
  • Regardless of where a sales event takes place, the supplier is fully responsible for all activities of the agents or intermediaries who sell timeshare rights on his behalf.
  • The members are obliged to design their products in such a way that the timeshare rights are actually available on the agreed terms. An overbooking of resorts through a mixed occupancy of vacation package and housing law guests will thus be prevented.
  • The providers are obliged to provide evidence that they are long term position to the maintenance and management of their product guarantee .
  • The timeshare reselling companies undertake to fully inform the consumer of the rights and obligations of both parties.
