respect - Institute for Integrative Tourism and Development is a former Austrian non-governmental organization that is committed to sustainable tourism.

This was founded in 1995 as a non - profit, non - governmental organization. In its self-image, respect saw itself as a development and sustainability policy voice in Austrian tourism and is committed worldwide to sustainable, fair tourism development determined by the visitors themselves.

The main areas of activity were education, public relations and research. The respect institute publishes Integra - the magazine for integrative tourism and development - several times a year . In the series of publications integrative tourism and development were u. a. deals with the topics of tourism ethics , participation , sustainability of tour operators and tourism and female identity . The travel guide traveling with respect and the series of publications infocheck offer tips on how to behave when traveling long-distance .

In 2011 respect was affiliated with Naturefriends and lost its independence. The respect brand was retained.
