Remaining stock (trade)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Remaining stocks of goods are referred to in retail as residual items (not to be confused with special items ) .

Remaining items are items of goods that usually expire or are no longer included in the range . These items burden the balance sheet and liquidity and must therefore be sold.

As a rule, they are given to residual stock dealers. On request, the remaining stock dealers export the goods, for example in order not to endanger the brand image domestically. Most of the time, however, the goods remain in Germany and are sold in remaining stock markets or in online shops .

A distinction is made between residual items and special items, but residual item dealers mostly act across the board in item trading. In the retail trade, bankruptcy goods , overhangs , excess stocks , insolvency goods and defective productions are sometimes referred to as residual items.
