Recipe control
The recipe control is a concept that enables convenient sequence programming, especially for the automation of batch processes in process engineering test and production plants.
The sequence program is created by combining the program elements with a graphic editor. Program elements are basic I&C operations and connection elements. The chemical-process engineering basic operations realize defined process engineering tasks such as dosing, tempering, stirring, distilling etc. The so-called basic operations concept assumes that all batch processes can be automated by combining suitable basic operations.
This results in significant advantages over conventional programming: The graphical programming can be carried out directly by the user without any programming knowledge. The time required for programming is reduced to a fraction and the test and commissioning phase can be omitted if basic operations from a tested library are used. In addition, graphical schedules are self-documenting.
The recipe control is also a suitable tool for effectively automating frequently changing applications.
