The Rheinische Automobil-Fabrik, Henning Thorndal from Ludwigshafen am Rhein was a German automobile manufacturer . The brand name was Champion .

Company history

The company took over Rheinische Automobil-Fabrik, Hennhöfer & Co. OHG in mid-1954 and continued production. In November production was stopped after about 300 copies had been made, with the plan to continue in February 1955. But it did not get to that. Thorndal disappeared with 6 million DM in debt. In June 1955, the bankruptcy administrator sold all rights, assembly equipment, tools and stocks to Maico from Pfäffingen for around 300,000 marks .

Models

The previous models Champion 400 H and Champion 500 G continued to be produced. In October 1954, the prototype of a four-seater vehicle with a front engine and front-wheel drive was presented, but it was no longer in series production.
