Ri Song-chol (born April 5, 1986 in Pyongyang ) is a former North Korean figure skater and politician .
Life
Ri Song-chol started figure skating in 1994 and was North Korean champion five times (2003, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010). In 2008 he won the Asian Trophy in Hong Kong. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he was the flag bearer of the North Korean delegation . In the individual figure skating , Ri finished 25th.
In the parliamentary elections in North Korea in 2009 , he was elected to the Supreme People's Assembly as a representative of the 418th electoral district .
