Richard Musgrave Prize

The Richard Musgrave Prize ( English Richard Musgrave Prize ) is a prize of the scientific journal National Tax Journal , the journal of the US National Tax Association .

The prize has been awarded annually since 1999 in memory of the German-American economist Richard Musgrave (1910–2007). It is intended to award the best article that appeared in the National Tax Journal (NTJ) in the same period last year.

The International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF) has been awarding an IIPF Peggy and Richard Musgrave Prize since 2003 for outstanding conference contributions by young scientists.

Award

Any article published in the March, June or September issue of the National Tax Journal is eligible for the award. These articles have undergone scientific peer review , which is not the case for the remaining December issue, which is a conference proceedings. The selection is made by the advisory editors of the NTJ.
