Richard Kehr

Richard Kehr (born October 9, 1898 in Berlin-Spandau , † November 10, 1963 in Rinteln ) was a German politician (SPD).

Kehr attended elementary school from 1904 to 1912 and learned the profession of lathe operator. He took part in the First World War and returned to his profession after his return. From 1921 to 1924 he was at the Beuth School in Berlin. Kehr has been politically involved since 1926 when he joined the SPD. From 1928 he was chairman of the works council of a Berlin company. From 1935 he worked as a lathe operator at the Spree-Werke in Berlin-Spandau and from 1940 as an engineer in Grottau, in the Sudetenland. In 1942 he became a chief engineer. After the Second World War, Kehr came to Rinteln as a displaced person in 1946, where he initially worked as a demolition manager and later as a timber and coal dealer. For the SPD, Kehr entered the Lower Saxony state parliament in the second electoral period, to which he belonged from September 12, 1953 until his death. In the state parliament he was chairman of the submission committee from 1954 to 1955.
