Guntram and Irene Rinke Foundation
The Guntram and Irene Rinke Foundation is a foundation in Hamburg that awards prizes in German-language texts.

Hanno Rinke, son of Guntram and Irene Rinke, founded the foundation in 2005. The purpose of the foundation is to promote the German language, which is done through scholarships, competitions and awards for suitable texts. The foundation is currently focusing particularly on promoting young people in order to discover and strengthen young language talents.
Until 2010, the foundation was the founder of the 'Rinke' - based on the foundation's name and the Alemannic word for belt buckle - a prize for texts that presented the attitude to life of the past year in a linguistically convincing form.
In 2013/14 the cooperation with the elite boarding school Schloss Torgelow began a literature and writing competition with the topic 'Me in my time', the same topic was the start of the school writing competition KLASSEnSÄTZE in Hamburg in 2015, a project in cooperation with the authority for School and vocational training. In 2016, 5,000 Hamburg students took part in the competition. The patron is Senator Ties Rabe. The theme for 2016, as for Schloss Torgelow 2015/16, was 'On the move'. In 2017 CLASS SETS will be continued with 'emerged'. The 'SprachEinsteiger' project will start in 2017. It is intended to distinguish learners who have made particular efforts to use the integrating power of language.
In addition, the foundation awards a scholarship every two years for the diary of the future year. The diaries are collected in the TAGEWERK series . Clemens Meyer wrote the diary in 2009 : violence . The TAGEWERK series was continued by Patricia Görg with the publication of the 'Handbook of the Unsuccessful' 2011 (published 2012) Gregor Sander , who documented the year 2013 His 'Diary of a Year' was published in August 2014. Thomas Glavinic wrote 'The Jonas Complex' last year, his work was published in spring 2016 and the author is currently on an extended reading tour. In his home country, 'The Jonas Complex' went straight to number 1 on the bestseller list. The author, actress and director Adriana Altaras is writing this year's TAGEWERK, which will be published next year.
