The Rinspeed Presto is a concept vehicle from the Swiss creative company Rinspeed .

The unique thing about the Presto is that it can be transformed from a 2.7 meter short open two-seater into a 3.6 meter long four-seater at the push of a button. This is done via an electric motor, which can push the carriage 746 mm in length via 2 spindle gears.

The engine is also innovative: the Presto is equipped with a four-cylinder common rail turbo diesel engine as a pilot injection engine with combined natural gas diesel operation. It is based on a Mercedes-Benz 1.7 liter engine and has been modified accordingly. The fuel consumption and the pollutant emissions are well below the series engine. Despite the very environmentally friendly principle of the engine, it has an output of 88 kW, which accelerates the car to 100 km / h in 10.5 seconds and gives it a top speed of 180 km / h.

The engineers and designers at Rinspeed have also come up with some clever solutions for a few other details. So z. B. When braking, the word STOP and when turning the word TURN , which are formed using LED technology.
