Ristoro di Andrea

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ristoro di Andrea is an illuminator and panel painter first mentioned in a document around 1343 , who probably worked in Florence in Italy. In the history of art, the thesis was put forward that he was identical to the previously unknown Florentine painter, to whom some panel paintings and book illuminations are assigned under the emergency name of Master of Dominican Portraits . However, this opinion could not prevail.
