Mark

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Scratch marking is a marking process from the group of embossing processes according to DIN 8583 , which corresponds to the drypoint etching process .

At Ritz Mark is in contrast to the needle marking the needle does not hit certain points on an up / down movement of the material, but pressed into the workpiece ( embossing ). In this position, the pneumatically or electrically fed scoring needle made of solid carbide or industrial diamond is moved in the x and y directions via two slides.

As with needle marking, almost all materials are marked, from hardened steel to pressure-sensitive finished products.
