Robert Sauer Prize

The Robert Sauer Prize is a German science award .

The prize, donated by Utta Bachmann-Morenz, was awarded by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences from 1998 to 2014 in memory of the mathematician and Academy President Robert Sauer (1898–1970) for outstanding research achievements in the fields of mathematics and natural sciences. At the request of the founder, the prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, was also explicitly aimed at women.

  • 2010 - Gudrun Klinker , Augmented Reality (computer-aided expansion of perception)
  • 2012 - Ulrich Rant , Bio-Nano-Technology and development of highly sensitive and molecule-specific biosensors
