Robert Corwin Bannister

Robert Corwin Bannister (born June 4, 1935 ) is an American historian .

Bannister was Professor at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Philadelphia , until his retirement in 1998 . His focus is on American culture in the 19th and 20th centuries, reform movements and the history of sociology. He is also one of the leading experts on social Darwinism .
