Robert Dickson
Robert Bruce Dickson (born April 22, 1931 ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player . At the 1952 Winter Olympics , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Robert Dickson began his career as a hockey player with the Edmonton Athletic Club, for which he was active from 1947 to 1949 in the Edmonton Junior Hockey League. The 1949/50 season he spent with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Canada Junior Hockey League (WCJHL). In the 1950/51 season he played several test matches for a junior team that was known from 1951 under the name Edmonton Oil Kings . There he was able to convince and was signed by the senior team Edmonton Mercury , with which he represented Canada at the 1952 Winter Olympics.
International
For Canada , Dickson took part in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo , where he won the gold medal with his team. In eight games scored seven goals and two assists.
