Robert Enzenbach

Robert Enzenbach (born June 15, 1927 , † December 28, 2004 in Munich ) was a German physician.

Career

After studying and taking a state examination, he trained as a specialist in anesthesia . In 1963 he completed his habilitation and the following year became chief physician at the Wiesbaden municipal hospitals. As early as 1965 he returned to Munich and became head of the anesthesia department at the chair for neurosurgery at the University of Munich , where he built up an efficient intensive care department. In 1970 he was appointed adjunct professor. From 1974 to 1976 he was head of the institute for anesthesia at the Großhadern Clinic , from 1976 head of the department for anesthesiology and resuscitation especially for neurosurgery at the institute for anesthesiology at LMU Munich. In 1978 he received a C3 professorship. In 1992 he retired.

The focus of his scientific work was neuro-anesthesia and neuro-intensive therapy.
