Robert Feke
Robert Feke (* around 1705 in Oyster Bay , Long Island ; † 1750 ) was an important North American painter of the first half of the 18th century . Meaningful group portraits come from him from the early days of the United States. He created the first known self-portrait in painting in North America in 1749 .
