Robert Fremr

Robert Fremr (born November 8, 1957 ) is a Czech lawyer.

From 1976 to 1980, Fremr studied at Charles University in Prague and obtained his doctorate in law in 1981 . He was appointed magistrate in 1983 and appellate judge in 1986. In 1999, the Eisenhower Fellowships invited Robert Fremr as the Czech representative. From 1989 to 2003 he was a judge at the High Court in Prague. From 2004 to 2005 and from 2009 to 2010 he was a judge at the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic ; from 2006 to 2008 and from 2010 to 2011 he was a judge at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. On December 13, 2011, he was elected judge of the International Criminal Court in the second ballot.
