The Robert Lindner GmbH , based in Berlin is an owner-run trading company, which specializes in the manufacture and sale of delicatessen products.

The company operates 37 delicatessen stores in Berlin, eight in Hamburg and one in Potsdam. In addition, the products are sold on three weekly markets in Berlin and through the company's own catering. The company became known especially in Berlin under the brand name Butter Lindner . Today's range includes around 3,000 specialties. These come from our own delicatessen kitchen, bakery and confectionery as well as from selected delicatessen manufacturers.

history

Robert Lindner founded the company in 1950, he started selling at the weekly market in Berlin-Schmargendorf. The first delicatessen store was opened in 1964. In the same year, a collaboration between Lindner and a bakery began and the LINDNER crust bread was developed. The 25th delicatessen shop in Berlin opened in 1980. After 39 years, Robert Lindner handed the company over to his son Michael Lindner. He opened the first bakery in 1991. The brand colors were changed from red - blue to blue - gold in 1997. The first delicatessen store was opened in Hamburg in 1998. In 2005, the company was awarded the German Retail Prize in the 2005 Management Service category. "Butter Lindner" also became "Lindner" in 2005. The working group for self-employed entrepreneurs named Michael Lindner “Entrepreneur of the Year” 2006. In the same year the LINDNER catering was started. In 2007 Michael Lindner was honored for extraordinary commitment, Michael Lindner received the Federal Cross of Merit for the ambitious training of young people. The bakery and pastry shop, which has existed since 1871, became part of the company in 2008. The first delicatessen store was opened in Potsdam in 2011. In 2013 the website was changed and the award “Berlin's Best Employer” was awarded. In 2014, the fine bakery was changed to LINDNER BackKunst.
