Robert Pape

Robert Anthony Pape Jr. (* 1960 ) is an American political scientist. He is known for his work on international security issues, particularly air wars and suicide bombings .

Pape graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in political science in 1982 with honors ( Phi Beta Kappa ). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1988. , also in political science.

From 1991 to 1994 he taught at the United States Air Force's School of Advanced Airpower Studies ; he then taught at Dartmouth College until 1999 . Since then he has taught at the University of Chicago.
