Robert Stockman

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert Stockman is a British chemist and Professor of Organic Chemistry at Nottingham University .

Career

Stockman obtained his PhD in Bristol in 1997 , after which he went to the University of Texas as a postdoctoral fellow in order to initiate numerous projects at the University of Anglia in 1999 to research heterocycles in connection with the full synthesis of biologically relevant substances. In 2007 he received an EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship and was promoted to Senior Lecturer . About half a year later, Stockman was offered a position at the University of Nottingham , where he was employed as an associate professor of organic chemistry. In 2010 he was promoted to Associate Professor and Reader , and in 2016 he was finally given his own chair.

Stockmann is part of the Periodic Table of Videos team and can be seen there in numerous videos.
