Robert Wittek (* 1967 in Vienna , Austria ) is an Austrian composer and musician in the genre of electronic music .

biography

The artist began his career in 1984 in his brother Richard Wittek's band "War of dreams". In 1985 the first single "golden heroes" was released. Live performances and competitions followed. Not too long after the recordings for "Michelle" in 1986 the band split up. Robert Wittek decided to do a solo production. In 1991 he published his first CD “Neue Welten”, which is now out of print.

To date ten CDs have been released under the name Wittek. In addition to film music projects, Wittek produced "Entrance" with Alexander Guelfenburg (Hybrid Machine) in 2001, which was released under the pseudonym "Danger in Dream" (an homage to the band name Tangerine Dream ).

Vienna Synthetic Art Studio

Started as a typical 80s "home recording studio", the collection of synthesizers is growing considerably. In May 2007 119 synthesizers as well as various samplers, drum modules and effects devices were available in the VSA for creative work. It is considered a competence center for synthesizers. As the editor of the web project synthesizer.at , Robert Wittek regularly publishes reports and workshops on instruments and manual online.
