Robert Yeates
Robert Yeates [ ˈɹɒ.bət ˈjeɪts ] ( ) was a British inventor and manufacturer of cutlery and surgical tools .
Life
Yeates was located at Trafalgar Place West, Hackney Road, Middlesex . He invented the 1855 opener and reported in 1858 in the United Kingdom a patent depends - some 45 years after the tin can was invented.
