The ROBI AG is in Wallbach resident in Switzerland company that develops products for municipal waste and distributes throughout Europe. The foundation stone was laid in 1981 with the invention of the " ROBIDOG " dog toilet by Joseph Rosenast and Heinrich Bisaz. The name is derived from the first two letters of the respective surnames of the two inventors and the English name for dog.

The term "ROBIDOG" is now a synonym for dog toilets in Switzerland and neighboring countries. By the end of 2008 over 40,000 containers had been sold to well over 2,000 municipalities. The green dog toilets are set up in large numbers in Switzerland, since dog owners there have long had to comply with the obligation to remove the excrement and dispose of it accordingly. Changes in the law and a rethinking among the population have resulted in dog toilets being installed in other countries for some time.

In 1981 Joseph Rosenast had the system patented in Switzerland, and in 1982 in Europe. At the same time, the name ROBIDOG was registered as an international brand. In 1987 Josef Rosenast won the silver medal with the ROBIDOG at the Geneva inventors' fair. In 2008 Joseph Rosenast died. The Robidog AG was sold and the business location of Thun to Zeiningen laid. In 2014 the name was changed to "ROBI AG" and the headquarters were relocated to Wallbach.

Curiosity: along the Barefoot Path in Thurgau, the Robidog rubbish bin has also been given the name Robi People , because hikers should also be able to dispose of their personal piles in the forest in an environmentally friendly manner.
