Robotron K8902
The Robotron K8902 is an operating data terminal for data acquisition via a swipe reader for cards with magnetic strips , keypad ( membrane keypad ) and digital inputs. Program-controlled external devices could be controlled via digital outputs.
The device was developed by VEB Robotron-Elektronik Zella-Mehlis in the Robotron combine and was based on the MME U880 processor. A 1-line alphanumeric display as well as some light emitting diodes indicated the status of the device. It has a two-line, 16-digit, alphanumeric LED display with a 5x7 dot grid, red, 8 mm character height, 8 LEDs for displaying the selected program, 1 LED for displaying the network and 10 user-specific LEDs.
