Rock fair

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rock mass or a rock service is a service or youth service that is based on current topics with rock music .

A rock service is a rock concert that more or less follows the traditional form of mass or worship . Both "cultural forms" complement each other and, as a synthesis, form an independent form.

In many church parishes attempts are made to "rock music" to the glory of God in the spirit of Psalms 81 , 150 and 98 ( Sing the Lord a new song! ) To praise God, to address new interested audiences and to offer contemporary worship services for young people and adults.

With a wink, Psalm 18.2 "The Lord is my rock" can also be named as the inspiration for the concept of rock worship.

The musical styles of a rock service can be different and varied. Rock is understood here as an umbrella term that primarily describes the character of the service as alternative, youthful and socially engaged. The rock service is formally opposed to the pop music-influenced worship (worship).
