Rodogune is a tragedy in 5 acts (1844 verses) by Pierre Corneille . The play premiered in late 1644 or early 1645, and Corneille thought it was one of his best.

Corneille took the material from the Roman historian Appian of Alexandria . The title character Rodogune is a Parthian princess who arouses the jealousy of the Syrian Queen Cleopatra . Cleopatra commits suicide after a failed intrigue.

Lessing wrote a devastating review of the tragedy in the 29th to 32nd play of the Hamburg Dramaturgy (August 1767).
