Rodolfo Montoya (born November 19, 1954 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

Life

Montoya received his first professional contract before the 1974/75 season with the UANL team, which had just been promoted to the top Mexican division , and after just one season he switched to the Cruz Azul CD , with which he played twice in the 1978/79 and 1979/80 seasons Episode won the Mexican championship .

During his time with the Cementeros , he also made the leap to the Mexican national team , for which he was used three times between 1978 and 1980.

In 1982 Montoya moved to Club León and again a year later to CF Atlante , where he was under contract until the summer of 1985. He then played another year for Deportivo Neza before ending his active career in the ranks of Puebla FC in the 1986/87 season .
