Roger Andrew Taylor
Roger Andrew Taylor (born April 26, 1960 in Birmingham , Great Britain ) is a British drummer for the pop group Duran Duran .
biography
Taylor joined Duran Duran in 1979 and has been part of the band's success story. In 1984 he worked with his band mates Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes on the album So Red The Rose for the side project Arcadia . At the “ Live Aid ” benefit concert in Philadelphia on July 13, 1985, he came on stage with the band for the last time. In October 1985, Taylor announced that he was leaving Duran Duran and retiring into private life to devote himself to his family for almost fifteen years.
After a failed attempt to get back into the music market with his own project, Taylor returned to Duran Duran in 2001.
Taylor was married to the Italian Giovanna Cantone from 1984 to 2006, and they have three children together. In May 2007 he married the Peruvian Gisella Bernales, with whom he has a son.
