Rogozen Island (English; Bulgarian остров Рогозен ostrow Rogosen ) is a striking and east-west orientation 760 m long island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 0.47 km south-southwest of Heywood Island and 0.92 km north-northeast of Cornwall Island off the north coast of Robert Island .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in the same year after the town of Rogosen in northwestern Bulgaria in connection with the silver treasure of Rogozen .
