A pipe deburring (English pipe deburring tool ), and deburring is a tool, with the tubes inside and outside deburred and beveled be.

construction

Hand-held pipe deburrers for pipe diameters of approx. 5 to 36 mm are common. They essentially consist of a cylinder serving as a handle, in which there are cone-shaped cutting edges. The cutting edges on the outside of the cone form a countersink with which the pipe is deburred on the inside, while those on the outside of the cone are used for deburring and chamfering the pipe from the outside. The tube to be deburred is centered by the conical shape; when the tube deburrer is turned, the cutting edges remove the burr.

Deburring and chamfering the pipe ends is particularly important when connecting pipes with press fittings so that the seal of the fitting is not damaged when the pipe is inserted.
