Roland Kneißl

Roland "Magic" Kneißl (born February 5, 1963 ) is a former German soccer player .

Kneißl, nicknamed "Magic" because of his outstanding technical skills , contributed significantly to the promotion of TSV 1860 Munich to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1990/91 and 1992/93 with his goals and as a game designer in the Bayernliga . The offensive midfielder played 68 games in the 2nd division (for Hertha BSC and TSV 1860 Munich) and scored three goals. In 1994 he ended his career and became assistant coach to Werner Lorant . In 1994/95 he was even substituted again and so came to his first and only Bundesliga appearance.

From July 1, 2004 to January 22, 2006, Kneißl was manager of TSV 1860 Munich.
