Roland Ullmann (* 1948 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German industrial designer .

Life

Ullmann completed an apprenticeship as an electrical engineer at Siemens in Frankfurt and then studied at the Offenbach University of Design . In 1972 Dieter Rams brought him to Braun and there he designed his first product in 1976, which went into series production. In 1977 he worked for Braun in the shaver division, where he designed the Braun Micron Plus , among other things . Ullmann designed a total of more than 100 razors, which made it ready for the market. Ullmann had a major impact on the image of the modern men's razor. In doing so, he pursued an analytical approach, taking into account organic shapes and incorporating elements of classical modernism. With the Synchro System, Ullmann developed the first self-cleaning razor for Braun in 2000.
