Rolling Thunder Pictures (RTP) was a subsidiary of the Miramax film studio .

RTP was founded in 1995 by Quentin Tarantino - together with the brothers Harvey and Bob Weinstein - who made films such as B. wanted to publish Chungking Express and classics on DVD and video and thus make them accessible to a wider audience. When choosing the name, he was inspired by the original title of the Flynn action thriller The Man with the Steel Claw . Many of these films also came back to the cinema in collaboration with Grindhouse Releasing, including films like Over the Beyond ( The Beyond ) or The Bronx Cats ( Switchblade Sisters ).

In 1998 Miramax stopped showing old movie pearls again. The company now only exists on paper. The last RTP release was the Curdled DVD .
