Roman de San José

Román de San José (* 1877 in Plasencia ; † after 1937) was a Spanish military musician.

He joined the army in 1894, where he was a member of the Drum Corps of the Castilla Regiment No. 16. In 1900 he took the position of Kapellmeister. Between 1909 and 1913 he took part in the war in Morocco, where he received several awards. In 1914 he headed the marching band of the Artillery Regiment Asturias and in 1915 the Academia de Intendencia, where he stayed until 1928. He retired in 1937.

His works include the popular El Turuta military march and the Todo son nubes march .
