Ronald Goldman

Ronald Lyle "Ron" Goldman (born July 2, 1968 in Chicago , Illinois , † June 12, 1994 ) was an American waiter . He and his friend Nicole Brown Simpson were murdered in front of their Los Angeles home. His death resulted in one of the most controversial and discussed legal proceedings in US history .

Life

Goldman was born in Chicago in 1968 . He grew up in the Buffalo Grove , Illinois community near Chicago. His parents divorced when he was six years old. After spending a brief period in the care of his mother, Sharon Fohrman Rufo, he was raised by his father, Fred Goldman, and lived with him and his younger sister, Kim. Goldman comes from a Jewish family. He attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire . He was a semester long student at Illinois State University , where he wanted to study psychology.

In the early morning of June 13, 1994, neighbors, alarmed by barking dogs, found the mutilated bodies of Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. Goldman was in the entrance to Brown's Los Angeles condo. At the time of the murders, her children were sleeping in the apartment. O. J. Simpson was arrested and charged with both murders. The criminal proceedings ended in an acquittal. In a civil lawsuit, OJ Simpson was sentenced to pay $ 33.5 million in damages to the families of Goldman and Brown - a claim that has not yet been enforced.
