Ronquières
Ronquières ( Walloon : Ronkière ) is a district of the municipality of Braine-le-Comte in the Wallonia region in Belgium . Until the Belgian municipal area reform in 1977, Ronquières was an independent municipality.
The village became internationally known for the Ronquières ship lift named after him on the Charleroi-Brussels Canal , the lower end of which is a few hundred meters from the town center.
