Roseole

Roseoles are small-spotted, red skin rashes ( exanthema ) that are found in various infectious diseases :

  • Typhus abdominalis: especially on the skin of the abdomen; the roseoles can characteristically be pushed away with a glass spatula and do not itch

  • Paratyphus : The roseoles are also localized on the extremities
  • Syphilis : Here the roseoles are generalized (affecting the whole body) and mostly infectious; they don't itch either. You can also include the soles of the hands and feet.
  • Chickenpox : In the first stage of the disease
