The Ross Bank ( English ) is a submarine bank in the Antarctic Ross Sea .
The designation confirmed in June 1988 by the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF) was based on the designation of the nearby Ross Island . Its namesake is the British polar explorer James Clark Ross (1800–1862).
