Ross Roy is a Grade II listed mansion on Harts Road in Brisbane, Australia . It is located on the campus of St Peters Lutheran College and is currently used as the school's office building.

history

The house was built in 1897 for Daniel Collings, a tea merchant. The architect was Claude W. Chambers .

In 1910 the villa was sold to William Ross Munro , who named the building Ross Roy , a combination of his middle name Ross and the name of his eldest son Roy.

In 1945, St Peters Lutheran College was founded in the building, and the villa is still part of the school grounds and a symbol for the school. In 1997 the Dutch composer Jacob de Haan created a musical monument for the building with his work of the same name, Ross Roy .
