Roundabout

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The roundabout is a figure of Latin American dance that is mostly used in Latin formations . It is preferably danced in the samba .

In this figure, the couple are holding the same hand and twisting around the tiptoe of the lady as she crouches. Depending on her preference, she can stretch one leg to the grasping hands, put her head back or stretch her free arm outwards. Furthermore, so-called wandering roundabouts make it possible to develop images in which the rotating couple moves across the dance floor and wipers in which the lady is thrown across the floor.
