Rowe Customusic

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rowe Customusic is a background music system from the 1960s and 1970s. The playback devices hold six continuous tape cassettes , type Fidelipac size C, which had the longest tape in this series. Like the 3M Cantata 700, the player changes the tape head from cassette to cassette, but also like later 8-track players from track to track in order to play the four tracks of the tape one after the other. The selected cassette and track are made recognizable by 7-segment displays . The switch to the next track or cassette is carried out by switching tape automatic or manually by touch buttons. This causes the device to move the tape head further and play the next audio track. Another switch next to the main switch is used to deactivate the large lifting mechanism and to remain on the selected cassette.
