Royal Architectural Institute of Canada

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada ( RAIC ) or Institut Royal d'Architecture du Canada ( IRAC ) was founded in 1907 and is the most established Canadian architectureassociation with more than 3,200 members. Together with the Canada Council for the Arts, it awards the Governor General's Medals in Architecture annually to recently completed works by Canadian architects.

Members include architects , faculty and graduates from Canadian architecture schools. Membership is divided into appropriate categories. So architects wear the title of "Member" ( "Member" ), members of associated professions the title " Fellow " and honorary members may be admitted as "Honorary Fellows".
