The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) is an institute for doctors and surgeons in Glasgow .

It was with royal approval by Jacob VI. Founded in 1599 by Peter Lowe. Even then it was used to train doctors, surgeons and dentists, and from the beginning until 1722 also for pharmacists and barbers. In 1909 it was named Royal . In the past, the RCPSG offered a basic medical qualification, the licentiate (LRCPS or LRCPSG). Today only exams for specialist qualifications are offered there, primarily membership and fellowship of the RCPSG as well as specialized diplomas. Membership and fellowship correspond to similar qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of England , the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh , the Royal College of Physicians, and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh . In contrast to the partner organizations in England and Edinburgh, doctors and surgeons are not separate. The seat is in St. Vincent Street in Glasgow.
