The Royal College of Psychiatrists is an organization of psychiatrists in Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Ireland . In addition to fulfilling administrative tasks for the professional group of psychiatrists, the Royal College of Psychiatrists is also active in the field of topic-related further training and public relations . As part of this activity, high-quality information brochures about mental illnesses are developed and published.

In a similar form and under different names since 1841, the Royal College of Psychiatrists was established in its current form in 1971.
